Back to recovery. At the end of April we had 5 teenage boys over for a sleepover to celebrate our youngest son’s birthday with him and whilst I am SO grateful he had an amazing time, I am also grateful to get back to some rest and recovery.
I also had Radiotherapy straight after Easter and the side effects have been rotten. The wounds on my front and back are basically open burn wounds and internally something has happened to my oesophagus. I have real problems eating/drinking, it hurts so much. Ever sip or bite, no matter how small. I am hungry but losing weight rapidly. 😔 It's also made me break out in some skin condition with blisters all around the wounds, so dressing them is difficult. The skin doesn’t seem to want to heal… I am in a lot of pain but we carry on…
Cancer tumours have now also spread across my left arm, leaving it swollen about triple the size of the other one. Very sore indeed.
I am still pursuing holistic methods such as intravenous vitamin c, mistletoe injections, juicing, lots of sleep and so much more to keep the rest of the body well and that seems to be an ongoing and rewarding practice. Oh and yay, my hair is growing back! I have to say it has been very liberating not to have to worry about things like hair and external things like that. We worry far too much about unimportant things like that!
At this point it feels unlikely that I will be able to hold sound baths during May and I apologise to those who are so eagerly waiting for me to return. I am doing my utmost to return to you asap!
Until then, so grateful for all your encouragement and support. Sending you lots of love and chi in return.
